Vista keeps updating sql
This can happen for several reasons including: expired account password, invalid user account, user account does not have permission to start the service, or there is something else wrong with the service.
Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. Double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Services. Locate the SQL Server service causing the problem and try to manually start the service.I have Windows Vista Home Premiun in my computer, yesterday I was installing several updates for Windows Vista. All updatings were correct except one of them that generates the "ERROR 733F" message, the name of this updating is: "Security updating for Service Pack 2 SQL Server 2005".Later I tried to download the file to be installed directly from: but it didnt work either, the message was "It couldnt be possible to start SQL Server, ERROR 29503".This is annoying because my computer keeps warning me about a 'critical' update, yet it cant install it...!!!If the service still does not start, try resetting the password or the user account.
After doing this, restart the service manually More information: If you need additional help, please post your file located at %programfiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\Log\Hotfix to the SQL Server Setup MSDN forum at Forum.aspx?
